SongBuddies helps people connect a toy, a short message, and a song. We try to keep the information we collect focused on making the app and Songbyte sharing work.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as email address, username, and SongBuddy or pet name.
• Songbyte content such as display name, message, selected SongBuddy image or mood, and attached Spotify song details.
• Basic app and website usage information needed for security, limits, subscriptions, and troubleshooting.
• Purchase or subscription status when SongBuddies Plus is used.

Music Privacy

SongBuddies does not record microphone audio for pet care or Songbyte features. When the app checks whether music is playing, it is only looking for playback status from the device or music service, not listening to people or conversations.

How We Use Information

• To create and display Songbytes.
• To keep accounts, monthly Songbyte limits, and SongBuddies Plus working.
• To prevent harmful content and protect kids and families.
• To improve reliability and fix bugs.

Sharing

Songbytes are meant to be shared. A shared Songbyte may show the display name, message, SongBuddy image, and attached song. We do not sell personal information.

Children and Families

SongBuddies is designed to be family-friendly. Parents or guardians should help children create accounts, review shared messages, and manage deletion requests.

Deleting Your Account

You can request account deletion from the website. Deletion removes your web profile, Songbytes created by your account, monthly usage records, claimed toy links connected to your account, and your Firebase Auth account.
