SongBuddies helps people care for a virtual pet, connect a toy, and attach a favorite song. We try to keep the information we collect focused on making the app and toy experience work.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as email address, username, and SongBuddy or pet name.
- SongBuddy profile details such as pet name, selected SongBuddy image or mood, and attached Spotify song details.
- Basic app and website usage information needed for security and troubleshooting.
- Purchase status when toy shop or app-store purchase features are used.
Audio Privacy
SongBuddies does not record microphone audio for pet care. The app is focused on QR scanning, Buddy setup, Spotify song attachment, and virtual pet care.
How We Use Information
- To save SongBuddy profiles, pet care progress, and attached songs.
- To help people connect a virtual Buddy to a physical toy.
- To prevent harmful content and protect users and families.
- To improve reliability and fix bugs.
Sharing
SongBuddy toy pages may show the Buddy name, message, image, and attached song when someone scans an official QR code. We do not sell personal information.
Children and Families
SongBuddies is designed to be family-friendly. Parents or guardians should help children create accounts, review shared messages, and manage deletion requests.
Deleting Your Account
You can request account deletion from the website. Deletion removes your web profile, pet progress, claimed toy links connected to your account, and your Firebase Auth account.
